Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hello all,
Ive played drums for 14 years and recently found myself moving to a smaller apartment where I can no longer play a kit. Fortunatley, i have obtained an mpc2000xl and I'm loving it. I'm curious if theres a way to play the mpc live with a kick trigger to play the bass drum parts. Despite my best efforts, my left hand cannot be my right foot. Any suggestions, techniques or brands i should look into? Thanks,
matt

use midi. pretty simple, set the trigger to whatever note that corresponds withh the pad. you might have to get an electronic drum set kick or something, i dont really know how traditional drum triggers work, but midi is basically going to be your best (if not only) option.

I am a drummer and I use my right hand for kick , left for snare then go back in and fill in the hihat toms with right on closed and left on open. I have been programming like this for years and actually when I was using a V Drum kit MIDI'd up it really wasn't all thet advantageous because with practice you can be equally as good with your hands as with your legs and arms. Think of playing a Piano and seperate your fingers.. I can play a full kit with my hands but to start off try what I said earlier about the kick snare and going over with the hihat.
