NV Slider & Contact Cleaner

my NV slider doesnt work, but if I press down on it then move it around, it works a bit but freaks out, giving random movements / values.... do you think it would be safe to spray some contact cleaner like this?

ive got some at home, worked really well when I used it on my DJ mixer.. but just wondering if it could maybe damage the MPC 2000XL.. maybe the contact spray could drip past the slider contacts onto something else??

there was a thread on this earlier, I just took the top off, then took the slider out and cleaned it with rubbing alchohal(my spelling sucks) just look up the thread, they go into a lot of detail.

any chance of a link? ive been lookin & cant find the specific one you are talkin about...

I understand what was said there.. but what im wondering is... can I just spray the Deoxit cleaner via the spray straw down the gap where the slider is without taking my MPC apart?
