Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

does anyone use the 1820m dock to track the mpc2000's 8 outs, if so how are the converters. Also is it smart to record all 8 channels at a time or just 2 or three. Im asking this because i have run out of inputs in my 1820m dock because i have 2 soundmodules and I was thinking of an converter with ADAT outputs just for the MPC.(Is anyone doing this?) With this box I can leave everything connected. What is a good converter to get ?

sup? I have the emu 1212m, the convertors are the same as yours. The convertors are tight, i really like em. I'm planning on getting myself a alesis ai3 adat (it's all my budget allows me to cop). To connect it to the emu 1212m.

You need to keep in mind that when u use a adat convertor, u get the quality the adat convertor is made to give. So u won't get the quality of the emu 1820m.

It all depends on how high your budget is. If it's not about the money, get an rme adat. They're one of the best (to me anyway) convertors on the market.

If your budget isn't that big, i would recogment the alesis ai3 adat.

For tracking u could use 8 outs at ones or use 3-4-5-6-7.. that's up to u and what ur soundcard allows u to do.

Good Luck!
