I've got an MPC2000xl and been sent a 'ZIP Pus 100' drive. I haven't tried them together yet as I am awaiting the HD50 to DB25 SCSI cable. I noticed that some of you have had problems with this combination and thought I'd find out a bit more from someone with first hand experience before I go any further. First of all, am I wasting my time in trying to get these two to communicate? I have a copy of the ZIP PLUS manual and was alarmed to read:
'You can use your ZIPplus drive as the only connected device on any SCSI connection that matches the AUTODETECT cable........The ZIPplus drive does not support Fast-SCSI 2 connections or 50 pin or 30 pin high density interface connectors.'
Does this refer to the connectors only or the entire device?
I would be greatful for some feedback as I don't want to waste my time with this combo if someone out there can tell me it ain't worth it. Please send me any useful tips.
