Let´s say that I´ve got an outboard synth, my XL and a keyboard.
Can I play the keyboard (hooked up by MIDI trough the synth)and record the MIDI data in my MPC and then disconnecting the keyboard letting the MPC´s recorded MIDI control the synth?

Wether you use the MPC or the keyboard as controller is up to you. As far as the synth/module as long as you have the source of the midi sounds midi up to the MPC yes, it will play back your sounds. If it has midi in and out theres no reason for these three not to work together. And this applies to midi components in general. Not just the MPC whatever model. Just remember what M. P. C. stands for.

And all this time I thought the "M" stood for Massive, hehe...

Thanks....

Interestingly enough, the M in MPC on the 1000 is for Music rather than MIDI. Go figure.
