MPC2000 replacement LCDs, replacement parts/service?

Hi,

According to the new Akai site,
there's no spare parts or services offered for anything sold before September 2000.

My MPC2k has a bad LCD module.

Any idea where I can get a replacement?

I've emailed several service centers specializing in Akai, including the two mentioned on the Akai website, and no response.

Any ideas?

Or, anyone need an MPC for spare parts? hehehehe....

I think the LCD For the 2k and the 2kXL are the same (besides the hinge, but that isnt really the LCD< just the case it sits in) verify this by PMing MPC 3000, he will know 100000%

I put an XL LCD in the former model. It is much brighter, clearer and more of a blue hue to it than the older one.
