the mpc and zip drive cant have the same SCSI ID so thats probally your problem. Which mpc u using XL or 2k? I forget which IDs each were but somebody else can provide dat.
thats right, i try switching it to scsi 5 and it still comes up, anyone know how i get rid of it? my scsi drive is not connecting to any other outputs either, just straight to my mpc 2000xl? its annoying me
maybe it's broke only the litte switch on the case. internally there is another switch on the card. If so u can open it change directly the switch on the board and test it. I've opened mine and it is a bit hard 'cause it's all with no screew.
i just got mine today and it is doing the same thing.I kept playing around with it and now it works.I think you have to format the disk or take it out and put it back in seems to work. Also how can i read from my disc to my pc ? Or cant it be done?
Have you find out, why your MPC doesn´work withe the Zip-drive? I´ve just bought an MPC 200XL and still have the same problem ( SCSI-Conflict on ID#6) Only when I connect an external CD-Rom drive I have no problems. I´ve connected a external HD, a Zip and a Syquest and have always the problems with the SCSI-connflict.I go crazy, my MPC 60II works great with the Zip-drive.
