Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I just ordered a new MPC2000 LCD screen from VST and I just wondered how do you put it in? They said the other one should just snap out and then you put the new one in but I just want to make sure I don't snap anything off or break anything in the process...so for those of you who have replaced the screen in your 2000....is it easy??

You basicly just remove the face plate and remove the cable from the mother board(of the screen) then remove the screen.

Do not actually remove that cable that is attached to the motherboard but the cable that is connected to the actual screen. Its white and plugs in. You should be unloosing two cables to connect the screen and 4 screws that hold the screen down. Real simple and easy. Just look at how the old one is in and go from there. If you cant do that then maybe you should get a person who knows how to do it to put it in.

I'm getting very pissed here...I have taken the screen out but the white cable to the motherboard won't budge...I can't get it out and I'm about ready to scream...I thought this was easy??? :(

well I finally got it out and replaced with the new one...there are little latches on the pieces on the motherboard that you pull out and they unlock and then you press them in and they lock...I had to move the main piece with all the bottons on it and I STUPIDLY unhooked the pads from the main board and that was HELL trying to get the thin piece to slide into the other piece...oh I love .0000001 millimeter sized screws that drop down inside the equiptment...and it's 200 @&#@ degrees in here!! Thank God I got it all put together and it works like new...whew....

Can you change the screen on the 2kxl? I don't need it right at this minute but it looks like it might go out eventually.
