OMG!!! Another card reader question...

Does anybody know the actual what brand name and model of the card reader that VST sells?

I emailed VST and they said "It's a specially made card reader for the AKAI MPC2000XL only to be sold by Virtual Sounds Technology."
I'm trying to surf the net and find one for my friends 2KXL. I think $149 is a bit steep for a card reader and a 128 Mb compact flash card with 60 Mb of samples. Especially since I got my Microtech 47b from eBay for $30.

My friend wanted the Microtech like mine since I already know how to install it and set it up. I guess he'll have to get one from another website.

If you have the available funds and you are satisfied with it I say go for it. At least you know u are guarenteed and not out in the wind when you purchase. Its the full kit and they also offer online or phone support.

yea, the money isn't an issue, ESPECIALLY WITH a guarantee...I'm getting tired of zips now....However, is the media it saves to very expensive???

No its not. You can buy it in bulks on Ebay or from online computer places or stores in your area.

That drive they offer comes with a 128mb card so you at least have something to start with.
