PAD playing STYLE

just wondering what everones pad playing setup and style is for drums

i organise my drums in rows.

i use my left pointer finger to do my hihat rhythm
right pointer finger to do kicks and cymbols

right middle finger to do snairs

is this effective or am i limiting myself. ive only just started

whats your style? and why do you find it the most effective?
