zip drive usb computer to mpc

Hello There
I have a mac G4 logic 4,8 running os 9.2
I was wondering if i could load up a usb zip drive with files on the mac and then put the disc into into the mpc 2000.
would this work or would the format of the disk be unreadable?.
any thoughts?

I'm not sure if mac has this but if you can format the disk using Fat or Fat16 it will read.If not you'll have to format on the mpc and then load the sounds from the mac.It'll probably ask to format when you insert it in the zip for the mac but just hit cancel.

apologies for my niavety what is fat/16 is it a program and if so where could i get it.

When you double click on my computer it will show your drives and folders.Left click on the zip drive(F or D or whatever it's labeled)a box will pop up and there you will see the option to Format.When you click on format another box will pop up and from there you can choose on what type of format you want to perform.You should have Fat or Fat16 if not just format on the mpc.

the dude is using a mac - not a pc? i dont think those instructions will work for a mac!
