wav support atc

holla, im going to get my mpc 2000 next month and someone told me it doesn't support wav, only some mpc format..is that true?...and few more questions: what are the possibilities of hookin up mpc with pc thru scsi card in pci slot of my pc? i mean - it's only data flow, or it somehow communicates thru some user interface? thx

not true. you can load wav files into the mpc. once you save them, they will be converted into snd format (which the mpc reads). but, yes you can load wav files.

what are you trying to accomplish with your pc? you want to record your music into your pc?

no your scsi port will not allow that. you have to use your OUTPUTS on your mpc and your computer's INPUT(s)

Whoever told you that has no idea what they're talking about.And as far as hooking up through scsi to cpu......not happening.

Some people are stuck on the fact the when the first OS was out for the 2k it couldnt read .wav files but with the latest OS 1.72 it can read .wav files.

Read up around the mpc2000/xl section and the manual so you can be prepared when your new item comes in.

i do, i want to be prepared, but u know, someone told me this, someone told me that, and im getting a little confused and i cant try it if its true or not, so i depend on this forum...
anyway - the scsi stuff i was talking about - i know recording is via audio outs, i meant for example those mpc editors - if it works via scsi...or if i can load some samples from my pc hd...
