replay samples by touching the pads instead of overdubbing

i just got my first mpc, mpc 2000xl, really happy with it, though i still need to learn a lot of things about it


i want to know how to replay a sample by touching a pad twice, instead of overdubbing the other sample

set the sample to mono for cutting of itself, for cutting of other pads press 'open window' while mono/note off/poly selected.

you mean setting the sample to mono before i load it in my mpc, or is it possible the convert it to mono in the mpc?

You have to press shift and program,then hit params After that hit the pad of the sample your trying to change under voice overlap set the jog wheel from poly to mono.
