hey hows it going - last month i picked up a yamaha motif rack, and am trying to connect it to the mpc... I have an 2000xl, and everythign seems to be working great with that. when hooking up the mpc and the rack, i am sort of using the mpc as slave to trigger the sounds.. but this isnt what i want to do anymore.. i want to be able to go on track one of seqeunce 1, record a bass beat from one of the programs in the rack, and then go into track 2, and a differnt program for the snare... its not letting me do this - what is happeneing is that it is just recording my rythm, but whenever i switch the sound i want to use, my data wont save --- if someone could please help me this , and if u dont understand it i will repost in simple words lol thanks peace

The Motif rack has to be in "Multi mode" to work as a multi-timbral tone generator. When in multi mode you can go into the mixer sreen and see what voices are assigned to what channels and change them to whatever voice you want. Check page 43 in the manual, it explains about multi mode. Check page 57 for how to save all your settings.
