Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

What up, I have a question about work flow. I love my MPC, but it seems so hard to get a nice workflow going. Between trying to organize files and folders. Tell me about you guys's work flow. The main question I want anwered is do you all have programs that are maxed out with drums. Then when you creating something new, you just take one of those sounds of your program and start creting a new program with your new samples etc. Or do you all just load programs and have like 4 programs going at once. Like Program 1 would be your kicks, program 2 would be your snare, and program 3 your hats, and 4 your other samples. Let me know how to make this easy. I know its different for everyone, but some might have some ideas that could help me out. Thanks guys.......

I just load my drums from zip and sample from the TT and chop in the mpc.But since i got SoundForge i like to edit all my sounds in there and save them to disk, then load into the mp.It might not be the fastest or best way but it works for me.

Peace.

I used to chop fresh drums for every beat...

I now fill up 64 pads with drum sounds and save as new programs. I proceed to load up a few drum programs when I start new beats.

I usually load up like 2 drum programs, a bass program and then leave the last program for the sample chops i use.

quick question...

Y in the hell do u have seperate programs for each drum sound?? Sounds like a waste of space to me

I have programs for all my kicks, then programs for my snares, and shakers & hihats. You think thats a waste? Why? What if I want to try out a multitide of snares fast? Let me know.

Y not use 1 program, put snares on bank A, Kicks on Bank B, hats on bank C and so on.

Doing it your way kinda seems like a waste of program space. But do what works best for u
