Connecting FantomX to MPC ????

I just got da 2000XL and im having some trouble.

How do I get the FantomX and da 2000XL working through the same sequencer? Can someone give me a link or break it down for me.

I've connected the fantomx to the akai using the midi cables. I set the devices to device 17. i got it set up like da manual says but i cannot get it to run through 1 sequencer...

I'd greatly appreciate the help!

Most should apply since the fantom is the same type of board as motif and triton.
