ive had my 2000xl for a week and just but a technics to sample with, but i am having ttrouble sampling into the pc. i have what i think are two digital out cords coming from the turntable to the digital ins of the mpc. then a go to the sample menu and when i switch the input on the screen from analog to stereo i just get a bunch of loud cracks, instead of hearing the record. whats going on?

You need a mixer and you dont plug an analog device into a digital in. You need to get a mixer and buy cables that go from your mixer to the MPC's record in's. Read the manual.

turntable, most likely analog rca plugs.

MPC, digital coax spdif (looks like rca) plugs.

They don't go together.

Follow the advice above.
