Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

GOT SOME SERIOUS PROLBEM HERE, I THINK!

After i opened my mpc up and installed a 8 out card, and put the mpc back together, all the samples i load up sounds distored and like there is some kind of flanger/delay/distort kind of effect on it. May it be possible that i've broken anything in the mpc?? I've turned it on and off a couple of times and let it rest but its the same. It's not the 8 out cause i've tryed it with the regular stereo outs also.. The samples sounds broken!! I got my samples in a CF-card using a compact flash reader in the mpc. Does this sounds familiar to anyone?

sounds like maybe your samples are being played twice cause a phase-like effect? do your sounds do this BEFORE you assign them to their individual outs? or after? if it does it after, maybe you have to turn the STEREO volume to 0 on the pad you assign?

if it does it before you assign them, im not sure man. sounds like your sounds are doubled or something..

maybe your:

ram
cf
8 out board

isn't seated/connected properly.

Check into that.

Open it back up, unplug those peices, reseat/reconnect those peices
and then try again.

Did that, and that distorted effect got lost. But now i have a new problem, i have some sort of electric buzz in the background, when its plugged to the mixer. You know like the same sound in Terminator 1 when he is born on earth with that electric ball around him self  Is my cables bad or anything? annoying as hell! attached from the mpc's stereo out to the mixers line in, thats right?

and another question while im at it... when using the 8 out expansion, no cables are needed from the mpc stereo out right? and the cables that are supposed to be attached from the 8 outs should go into the mixers line in's? *n00b as hell*

i had the same question when i first got it. i think you'll need to still use the main outs because any sample that is NOT assigned to an indiv. out, will be coming out of your MAIN OUTS. so you need those connected to hear those sounds.

OK... but i think this 8 out card is broken  the only sound coming out is a electric noise/buzz when i assign a sound from the 8 outs to the mixer. Cause the samples sounds good when it comes from the stereo out... Ill maybe have to clean it or something... or press it on harder or something
