Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I own an XL. but word on the streets is 2k's must be heavily modified (soldering and whatnot) in order to support internal scsi. And i dont think they have atapi/ide inside either. You could always go with external readers. peep the manuscript http://www.midicase.com/card_reader_guide.htm

no and no.

Heavy modifications to the motherboard that will cost ALOT, yes.

It's not worth it though. Just get the xl, modify it yourself, painless installs and be done with it.

But what if he really loves the 2k & doesn't want to buy an xl :)

Use an external zip, it's not that bad ;)
