2000XL midi help!

I have my Oxygen8 connected to my mpc2000XL through the midi cable into the mpc's #1 midi input. i want to know how am i suppost to rec. a track/sequence on my mpc w/ the oxygen8. What else do i need to do to make this work? any advice will help. thanks

should work right away. If your able to play your programs on the oxy then you should be able to just hit record on mpc and start playing from your oxy. It will record the notes into the mpc just as if you were hitting the pads.
