keep in mind that ive only had my mpc 2000xl for a month so this tip might not be so special.
anyway, heres what i found out (while analysing the shape and pattern of a bass wave form)

pretend this is the waveform of your sample. because of the triangle shape, it would be hard to make a smooth loop of this sound so that it played continuously, without a pulse or click, like a keyboard (or whatever instrument the sample is)

copy and paste the last part of the sample (or whichever part you want to loop) next to itself many times. instead of looping the last part of the sample and getting a high pitch squeel/ring, you will be looping many copies of the last part of the sample. this gives a smoother effect, as if the original note was continuously being sounded. this gets rid of the pulse
to get rid of the clicks, simply make sure the "ends" of the sample are looped at the same relative spots at the lowest frequency points.

is this something old which everyone knows? or is this new or useful?
is this an alternative to multisampling concidering natural decay can also be achieved by setting the program parameteres decay type to END (with specified decay) and voice over to NOTE OFF?
can i have some feedback i just wanna know if there is a better way than this, cos i dont wanna do shit the wrong way.
