alright let me give an example; ive got a violin sound i want to come in every 4 bars, its like 3/4 a bar long, it goes good with the other melody i have, but for some reason when it comes in it sounds like it doesnt fit and it ends really abbruptly, im sure theres something i can do in the edit sound section but im not really sure what i can do to "blend" it in so to speak.

you could turn the decay up so it fades out better

If you got the effects board installed try adding like 50% echo, usually fills the track up nice.

Beside of the envelope problem:
Some notes just happen not to fit together even if you think they would before actually mixing them.
Make sure you're not in this case.
Suggestion:
If you put your music online, we could maybe more easily fugure-and fix-the problem.

Set the decay to 3, add some reverb like what was stated in the earlier post, or a little time stretch and reverb.
