I've been using my MPC for awhile now, and everytime I start it up I have no sounds- I have to load them from floppy or SCSI.

Someone said the sounds should be assigned to the pads from the moment you power that ho on.

Is this right? Maybe mines broken

Nah, when you cut the power it clears your memory. you have to reload at start up.

But actually, if you save an ALL program to a floppy, the drive will read it if the floppy is in the drive at start up and then load it. I forgot about that for a minute.

Yeah whomever told you that was probably referring to an installed flash rom. Either that or he was trying to tell you how to use your set up command to automatically load your floppy or Zip disk when you turn the MPC on. To do this you have to go to the load menu and hit the set up menu. The rest is self explainatory. You can auto load All,APS, or APS & All. Note that this function will auto load the first All pgms and/or All songs and sequences located on your floppy or zip disk. Pending on what device you have it set up to autoload from.
