Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

ok so lets say i just loaded i new sample on to my mpc. if i wanted this sample to be exactly 1 bar or 3 bars or four bars long, how do i do that? i just want to be able to play the sample and have it line u on beat everytime. im having trouble with the timestretch tool if thats the right one to be using.

i saw a just blaze video where he took a sample of 10 hits, pushed one button and they were divided up so he could play them immediately on his pads. he was using a 4000 though. is it possible on the 2000xl?

thanks

i wouldnt be going on mpc forums to figure this out if i could find it in the manual. so if anyone knows, your help is greatly appreciated.

i linkd it because all u need to now is fvkkin there, and if ever read it u will know it.
it is called slicing, zone editing and it IS in the manual, so:
RTFM
thats it, people its here to share knowledge, not to study for other ones that are too lazy to do it on their own.

Instead of adjusting the sample to fit the tempo, why don't you try adjusting the tempo to fit the sample. It works for me sometimes.

Measure, Hyena is right, everything you asked is in the manual.

You just gotta apply yourself.
