programs/loaded sounds disappearing

My loaded sounds disappear from the track and I can't hear them or play them on the pads anymore. Only sounds remaining are the sounds I have recorded midi from my keyboard. What is happening? I am experiencing this almost everytime I make a track and it is killing me. It's usually when I play back a sequence, about to start recording a new track, edit, or while listening to a track using track mute...This last time it happened while I was in track mute and changed a midi sound on my keyboard....PLEASE HELP!!

When u change your midi sounds on your keyboard make sure that your on a midi track on the mpc. Your programs arent gone, they just got moved around to a different program number when u changed the dial on your keyboard.

Go into the program screen and reassign your program to the appropriate number

Once you record on a track.....
DON'T change the DRUM/PROGRAM on THAT track.

If you wanna add another sound, MOVE to a different track and add it.

Every different sound/sample is better off on it's OWN track.

Thanks Jackpot, that worked like a charm....n Lampdog, sounds like u were saying the same thing as Jackpot....so thanks to u also....n I do put every sound on a diff/new track...just changed that midi sound on the wrong track, but was able to find them w this help.....thanks again.
