put all your sequences in the order you want them. im not in front of my mpc, but this is from memory...
i think you have to select how many times you want the sequence to repeat. if you only want it to play once, just put the sequence there and keep adding them one after another....making sense? probably not

Maybe I'm not inserting the sequences correctly. This is my understanding. press INSERT to place your sequence then check for the Reps for how many times you want that sequence to repeat and you pretty much follow this process all the way until you're finished with your song.

not much more to it man. like i said, im not at home so i couldnt tell you what to look for. but place one seq after another and build ur song up that way.
good luck man.
good luck man.
Make sure that you have the LOOP function in the Song Mode set to 'off'.Maybe that's the problem.
By the way,you know that you can play your song only from the Song Mode screen...not the main screen.I mentioned it because at first I tried to do that after putting all the sequences in Song Mode in order but I tried to play the whole song from the main screen.Of course it didin't work.I know...silly thing

i think you have the last sequence in your song highlighted, and your pressing play, not play/start. That, in combination with having your song set to loop, could cause the last sequence in the song to play looping like that.
or, as harlj suggested, you might be trying to play this song from the main screen, which wont work. play it from the song screen. good luck, and godspeed

What is the "convert" button for in song mode if you can't convert the song to the main screen.. I'm not near my mpc, but I know that I have the same problem. When I try to convert the song from song mode to the main screen, it loops one sequence over and over. When I get home, I'm going to take another look at the "coverting" songs in song mode and try some of the suggestions that you guys have mentioned. I've had my mpc for a long time and never been able to get that to work. I put the sequences in the order that I want, and just play from the sequence.. To be honest, I don't even think the converting to the main screen is that necessary, but I would like to know if it actually works or not.
