transposing a track on xl does not work

transposing a track on xl giving me a hard time. the note data change but
it plays the same note.

Transposing what type of sound, sample?

Transposing is intended for multisampled, pianos, strings, horns.

Not one hit drums, one hit samples, may you are using the wrong type of sound(s).

works for me...but I use midi...

I believe it is only meant to work with midi. You might be able to work around that if you have a program that has auto chromatic sample AND midi numbers assigned to the pads. Switch the track to midi, make the transpose, then switch back to drum. Remember, if the pads aren't configured to be in order by midi note number, this will not work at all.

I've used it without midi before.
