Disk read error question

I just bought my MPC 2000 XL. I'ts my first MPC but i have done my research, so i know what is need to know.

But i have a problem: My Floppy drive say "Disk read error" but also the loading light of the floppy drive stay on all the time.

Someone know what the prob is? I am installing a multi-cardreader in my MPC next week. Will the problem be solved then ?

If the floppy drive light is on all the time then that could be a broken floopy drive or the data floppy cable is reversed (take it out and flip it over). On the back of the foppy drive the red line should be facing the power connector.

So is this your new style, typing in color?...Or is this your way of showing everyone that you hit the big 10k?...8)

Okay, thanks i'll go and check it out.


[EDIT] The red wire off the data cable was wrong, i flipt it over and now it works !! Thanks a million, i was affraid my baby was dead, but she made it ;)
