MPC help

When the MPC is turned on, all the lights come on and thats it. I put the boot up disk in and it just reads thats all. the screen comes on but stays blank.

Does this mean the screen is messed? or maybe the OS?

any help is appreciated.

hmm, that didnt seem to work.

the screen stays completely blank wether or not there is a disk
in a disk in. Also all of the lights come on and stay on even though on a working mpc the lights (such as on the play button) would come on at first but then go off until you put the button to use.

any other help is appreciated.

anyone know the akai customer service # that might be able to help

any ideas?

Disks can wear out with age, so first try a new disk.
Make sure the disk is in the MPC, and then turn it on.

What MPC do you have?
Make sure you are putting the right files on your disk.

its the 2000, the disk worked fine before. Im thinking its the screen...hopefully not

still having problems with this. Being that the screen lights up but never even asks for the boot disk does this mean the machine is messed?

Your motherboard could be having some issues not 100 percent sure without actually looking at it. I recommend u give Nick a call over at www.vstservice.com he should be able to assist you from where u stand now.
