Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hey

1) I think the os disk for the 2000 has been the same for a long time.

2) Can't resample on the 2000. Gotta bounce to a recorder and fly it back in.

There are no new and will be no new updates for the 2000.
I helped one of my friends (he has upgraded to xl recently) upgrade his 2k and we were always looking for new updates and AKAI told us on email a while back there will be "no more cause it's old gear and newer gear is the focus now".

Alls you can do is check to see if you have the latest.

Resample is actually editing the samplerate like say dropping the samplerate on a sound from 44khz to 29khz.

I was talking about the samplerate not the frequency.
Tweaking the freq is not resampling.

Under NV slider or 16 levels you can run tuning, velocity, decay, attack or filter. One thing you can assign under 16 levels but not NV slider (for some unknown and completely befuddling reason [what the **** kind of word is that? you might be wondering]) is velocity.

I always wanted to use the NV slider to control velocity from the first time I saw an MPC and especially after I realized it was impossible to achieve 127 hits with the pads alone. Ah, well. Velo% will do.

same dude as before wrote:(i'm in no fast fury to learn this, hence me not caring to check the manual.)

Is that supposed to mean you prefer to have things revealed excruciatingly slowly? I mean I understand not being in a hurry but you do actually own a copy of the manual. I don't get it, but whatever works for you, dude.

You're welcome, in retrospect.

(grimace) - I don't think there's a discussion forum on the planet that takes kindly to that attitude  .

We're all happy to help around here, but you've been lucky to get any responses at all - please at least make some attempt to find the info you need before asking people here to do the donkey work for you.
