Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Trying to figure out why some of my TR909 closed hihat files are getting cut short on playback............

I've heard conversations about this before but can't remember any solutions to this!

Ideas?

i dont know the 2k.. so this may be completely wrong.. try goin to your program, then params, then in the upper right (or somewhere..) change it from mono, to poly

Thanks, ES-K. I've tried those different modes. Same. I think its more like file length or something.

The sample is simply too short.... try setting the decay to 0 or 1 and if that ain't enough insert the same hihat at the start of the hihat sample, highlight the second sample and silence the section.... there you have it: the sample is longer and therefore played with full volume from start to end
hope this was clear enough

O.K. Pretty amature stuff..........

But I figured it out.
You don't have to add sound at the start. The MPC plays all sounds from the start just fine. For some reason its at the end. I added silence on either side in Ableton, then opened the file in Audacity and saved as a wave. NO PROBLEM!

Thanks for the replies.

sample 1 sec of silence in the MPC, and paste that onto the end of your sample. too easy.
