i just bought an SCM scsi card reader off ebay and i'm trying to install it in an external enclosure. has anyone gotten one to work? i'm having troubles. i tried switching the jumpers on the enclosure setting jumpers on the drive itself too! all different combinations but my mpc classic just says scsi not ready on all scsi ids. any thoughts would be helpful.

Which model SCM SCSI READER ? ???

SCSI "Not Ready" messages can appear for a number of reasons.

If the SCM SCSI READER you have is a "SCSI LUN PER SLOT" model then there is a good chance that it will not work with your MPC.

If the SCM SCSI READER you have is a "SCSI ID PER SLOT" model then it "may work".

Telling us all about which jumpers are present and how they are documented may help us to help you.

... and again, which model of SCM SCSI READER this is ? ???

You have to put a Terminator on your second SCSI interface.
Every SCSI chain must be terminated in the end with a Plug or by a switch that let's you turn on termination.

Good luck.
