Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

O.S. v 1.14

i was browsing through www.akaipro.com
and noticed 2 versions of the O.S.
for the 2000xl
is there a major difference in the two ..
i.e. more or added features from 1.14 to 1.20
or is it just for the card reader option??

from what i gather, it's for the card reader option. i may be leaving some details out........

yeh i think it just makes the cards readable in XP.

its a definite plus if you upgrade to a card reader and you want to transfer files back and forth between your pc and MPC.

truthfully i very rarely load samples into the MPC ...
i generally capture and manipulate samples
with adobe audition and load them into a NNXT
that way i can load a truckload if i want and
trigger them with my mpc pads..

i find that this way i can have a few more tools
to work with when creating :wink:

v1.20 can format media on the mpc and make it readble by a computer, it can also read disks up to 1Gb without the need to partition it.
v1.14 can partition disks which v1.20 can't do anymore.
