midi control change question

Ok.I've been searching for some more information about it for a long time today...Searched the forum and searched the web.Also I've checked in the manual of course.But still I couldn't find what I was looking for.

My question concerns the STEP [F1] button on the main screen.I've been wondering what is the purpose of the Control Change function?? Well,I don't know what the Polyphonic Pressure and Channel Pressure does either,but what's up with this Control Change? There is a bunch of possibilities to choose from when I scroll through the insert option.The manual doesn't say what are these options and since there are only short words,I can't figure out what they mean (most of them are a riddle for me )
Can someone tell me what it does? What is the purpose of Control Change ?

it works with external modules connected via midi.
with that u can control and modulate parameters on external midi sound modules.
u have to refer to the external sound module's midi implementation chart to see which control changes are recognized and then u can use them to modulate them parameters (ie: filter cutoff and reso , vibrato, volume, pan, modulation wheel, and there are a bunch of free assignable controllers that on some machine u can assign to a given knob to control it.)

it does nothing on the internal sampler.

I understand,that each midi control change command 'recorded' in STEP mode on mpc gives only one result...I mean,I can't make fluent filter or resonance changes for example,can I ?

u can, recordin the increasing (or decreasing) control change value step by step in the step edit window, u can choose if do it tick by tick (!!! enormous work) or by a given resolution (1\4,1\16,etc...)

but i say it again, control changes are meant for the external hardware(or software) controlled via midi from the mpc, not the internal parameters.

yeah,now I know that it doesn't deal with the internal sampler...yesterday I tried to check it ,make changes to the internal sounds or effects parameters from the eb16 with no results

hmm...I can imagine that tick by tick insert would give better results (ie for fluent lfo speed changes or sth else) but as you sad,it would take a looot of time to insert all the commands one after another
I suppose that doing it with the timing of 1\32 should make it sound almost as good don't you think ?
