Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I couldn't find in the manual, or actually don't know what function to look for, but when playing the pads on my MPC2000 classic, the notes on some of the pads seem to "double up". It's not consistent, and it doesn't seem to happen all the time, just at some points. Where do i go to adjust this? Does it matter that I created a kit using the MPC Editor and made a drum program with some wav files I had?

It's normal.  Stick and move, my friend.

Gotcha, guess I'm used to the Trigger Finger and those pads weren't so sensitive. I can edit out those extra hits when needed though right?

That happens with many people when they first move to an mpc, but it takes "stick and move" practice before your able to get the pad banging right. Don't just lay your fingers on the pads and keep them there, you got "hit it and quit it"..

Understandable. Well glad to know it's just me and not the machine. Thanks.
