How to move hits by 1 tick???

Hello All

Not to long moved from building drums in Logic 7 to using MPC 2000 XL and must say i'm very happy.

When i was using Logic 7 i would always move my main snares back 1 tick in the matrix editor to give my drums that fast moving kinda feel.

I was wondering how would i achieve this on my MPC i know its most probably something so simple but have been going thru the manual as well as going thru "Beat making on MPC Tutorial" but to no avail anyway hope someone could shed some light.

After you recorded your snares onto the track in the sequence,you can go to the STEP screen [F1 in the main] and turn the quantization off (hold F1 and turn the dial hard left,I think).Now highlight the navigation numbers (two digits on the right side),and turn the dial to the left.That way you can go back or forward tick by tick.
Of course you can either copy and paste already recorded snares or just put them in manualy without recording real time.
Maybe there is more efficient or faster way to do this,but that's how I would make it work

You could always just use the NOTE SHIFT function in the timing window to shift the beats earlier. It might not exactly be one tick but it might acheive the result your after.

but as he says it not bang on the tick more time its over and sounds to early.

I deep soulful house music so sticks out like sor thumb, LOL
