Settings for my midi controller to control my Mpc???

Once I have my Midi cables going from the in to the out, and the out from the in...How do i set it up in the mpc??? I basically jus want the midi controller to control the Mpc...

u cannot control many parameters of the internal sampler with a midi controller.
u can use a controller to control the note variation slider,assigned to one parameter per time.
u can hook it to the mpc to control external midi sound modules,thats it.

u can assign a midi control change number in the note variation slider window, then set up ur midi controller to send out that same conrol change to the NV slider...

Well, I'm jus tryna control the play, rewind, fast forward, record, and stop button...lol

dont forget that u can use the keys to play the mpc pads
