I recently got an MPC2000, I have made a few beats with one shot drums and a few samples but I want to know how to make my sampling better. I want to know how I can lower the sample rate to get a girtty lo-fi sound on the box, how to make a loop fit better, how to get the BPM of a sample. Can someone explain an "easy" method of chopping up a sample and programming in different pads... It's a bit tedious to me, I need someone to kinda break it down to me.
I plan on buying a keyboard to make better musical arrangements (like a motif es) how would i connect it to my MPC to get the sound there so i can place them in sequences. Should I just wait until i get pro tools and record them all there and track them...
Also I have a SCSI CD-ROM, and have many oneshot drum files because I also use Reason. is there a way I can burn a MPC Compatible disc on my computer... I'm currently running Windows?
