mpc 2000 vs. mpc2000xl

what are the major differences? I have to the chance to buy a used mp 2000 but dont know if I'll be missing out on some the features the 2000xl has. The differences I can see are the flip up screen and the 100,000 note sequencer vs. the 300,000 for the xl. Is there anything else. Also has anyone ever come any where close to using up the much space on the sequencer with one song?
