Edit - Copy Track to New Sequence problem

I have searched this problem and it seems I am not the only one who has it but I did not manage to find a proppa answer.

Sometimes when I copy a track from 1 sequence to another it does not copy across to the next sequence (sometimes it does)...it can cause real problems because it means I have to re-record that track again on the next sequence, and can cause inconsistency in between the two sequences....

is there a solution to this problem??

Have to describe exactly how you are doing it. You can copy the track directly or you can do it from the edit page. From the track, open window and copy, its pretty self explanitory... but have never seen it now work myself.

On the edit page, it is very easy to make a mistake when copying a single track to another squence since there are a few variables (seq, track, start, end, repeat). Its easy to mess one of those and not realize where it went.

Either way, best method is to test right after the copy to make sure it went through. If it didn't, you hit undo (before doing anything else) and try again. If is still doesn't work, try a different method. You should never have to re-record from a copy since the original is still there.

My method of copying is always the same...its just sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt

I go to edit-copy-from sq: # tr: # to sq: # to tr:# and just press Do It....

what other ways are there of copying a track from one seq to another? thats the only one I know.

Sounds like it's just the incorrect info being selected.
Always double check that you selected the correct seq#, trk#, time range of copy, correct mode (replace or merge) and start point of placement before hitting the do it.
Then check to see if you notice it happening anymore, when you know the info was correct.
That's pretty much the only time I have ever seen it happen.
