JAZ, HDD etc.

Hi Everybody and greetings from Poland!
Sory for probably FAQ but I spent two days looking for answers:
1. When can I find drive comparision chart (I think about installing internal HDD)? I tried on AKAI's site... no results..
2. Did anybody install internal SCSI Jaz drive?
3. What's faster Zip 250 SCSI or some MO drive?

Jazz is getting hard to find, niosy, is expensive and fails often. I doubt putting it internally would be worth it. If you really want to use Jazz, I suggest just keeping it external, particularly since Jazz draws a lot of power (more than z Zip) and I do not think the MPC power supply handles it. A common mod for the MPC3000 is to put a Jazz drive in it, but this also requires putting an additional power supply in the machine to handle it.

Speed should not make a difference, since it is not like you are doing hard disk recording. If you are going to loose your `groove` in 75 seconds and not in 45 seconds, you might reconsider the hobby.
