wav format help

my mpc 2kxl wont load some of my wav files cos they are in the wrong format.

what is the criteria of the correct format and how do i convert? (i have wav editing software)

yeah this happened to me.

i have a shitty wav editor named sound studio and i would save as a wav and mpc wouldnt recognize.

then i just loaded the wav file in recycle and saved as a recycle wav and it worked.

dunno what to tell you, what program you got?

you guys need to make sure these wav files are 16 bit. This is usually the cause. If this doesn't work try this link.

here are the stats of one of my vav files which wont load

Bit Rate: 705 kbps
Audio Sample Size: 16 bit
Audio Sample Rate: 44 kHz
Audio Format: PCM

Have you had any success loading up the wavs on your PC?
To be honest the example you gave would indicate that everything was running fine. Have you had your floppies exposed to any magnets, say your speakers for example. The only thing I could think of right now is either your disk is corrupt or it's not an authentic pcm wav. Where was the wav originated from? In any event try loading up the wave in your Pc and resave it as a wav file again, and while you're at it check the characters in the sample/file name as well this could cause problems also. That one I do not understand since I do not know of any 16/44 WAV files that are at that Bit Rate.
