16 Bar to 4 Bars?

If I have a 16 bar loop and I want to break that up into 4 bar loops instead...what is the best way of doing this?

I know how to break it down the first 4 bars of the 16 to one sequence (copy sequence>reduce bars)...but how can I create new sequences for other 4 bars of that 16 bar sequence?...e.g the last 4 bars

@Living Bate - Lemme see if I got what you're saying - you're copying sequence data with multiple tracks, right? and you want to split the sequence, tracks and all, into four different sequences?

I don't think you can do this in a way that isn't sort of a pain in the ass. I would just make four copies of the sequence, then go through each track on your sequences and copy the portion you want to the beginning - i.e - taking each track from 5.00.00 through 9.00.00 and copying it to 1.00.00, then on another sequence doing the same for each track 9.00.00 to 13.00.00, etc... Then you can go ahead and reduce the number of bars to 4 on all your sequences.

That's the only way I can think of off hand, unless I'm missing something...

-Make 4 copies
-Erase what u dont need within each sequence.
-Once u have erased then move everything up to 1:00:00.

Was stated above but some people get confused with reading a bunch.

Let's say sequence 1 track 1 is your original 16 bars
copy sequence 1 track 1 1:00:00-5:00:00 to sequence 2 track 1
copy sequence 1 track 1 5:00:00-9:00:00 to sequence 3 track 1
copy sequence 1 track 1 9:00:00-13:00:00 to sequence 4 track 1
copy sequence 1 track 1 13:00:00-17:00:00 to sequence 5 track 1
delete sequence 1 track 1
now you should have 4 sequences (2-5) with 1 4 bar track each
all this can be done in the edit function of the main screen

Yeah but what if he has more than one track? I would rather just make copies, delete, and move.

I got your upper hand right here.

Make 4 copies of that original 16 bar sequence.

On the 1st copy leave bars 1-5 intact, delete all others in that sequence.
On the 2nd copy leave bars 6-9 intact, delete all others in that sequence.
On the 3rd copy leave bars 10-14 intact, delete all others in that sequence.
On the 4th copy leave bars 13-17 intact, delete all others in that sequence.

No moving individual tracks within/to/from a sequence..
