from mpc master outs to line in on pc?

I have the 2000 but no good sound card. Can I line into the computer from my Mpc stereo master outs ?

And, also ...has anyone ever lined into their Dj mixer from the Mpc 2000 master outs? Seems like I did it one time and I couldnt get a signal in my dj mixer(like the Mpc2000 has no power or amp to send signal into the mixer). I was just curious what someone else knew so I wouldnt have to move and unplug stuff for no reason.

I made something good and I would like to get it in Wavfile on the computer for the first time.

I have the Mpc digital output option but no digital input or soundcard on my computer.
Isnt their a converter or import/export program that would work good?

Whats the cons of each of these ways and which is ideal for sound quality

you can go mpc analog outs to your pc's prolly single line-in.. witch im guessing is a on-board soundcard witch im also guessing has a mini-jack (like headphone size). You could get an adapter than converts your 1/4 jacks into one single mini jack .. that would work. Also yes it should work fine going as a LINE IN on your dj mixer. either way if you only have a single line in on your comp your not going to get real stereo for recording.

your going to want to be able to go MPC OUT L/R to a soundcards L/R.. or go digital if you wanna record. unless you dont mind mono. i would recommned looking into a cheaper soundcard like the m-audios or my personal recommendation the e-mu 1212m. it works really well for the price. Allows me to go digital in and out. and has a nice patchmixer. good luck

Yeah i want to get stereo 1/4 inches to single 1/8 inch line into my computer onboard sound card.

You say I wont get true stereo by going in that way?
How is that? The 1/8th inch end has two rings around it which means stereo right. So, what do you mean by true stereo?

yeah cool Ive been looking at emus soundcard for awhile now im gonna get one of them. Just trying to make the best of what I got for now.

well if you soundcard has l/r inputs then yeah should work. but i know my onboard ones usually only have single out, single in and a single mic in.. and i dont think you could r-in l-mic and record properly.. but i could be wrong.
