please help new user... SAMPLING PROBLEM!

how do i go about into sampling vinyl from my turntable?
i have a mixer which my turntable is attached to. how do i hook it up to the MPC?

1. Connect the turntable to phono in on your mixer.
2. connect line out of mixer to your line in on MPC.
3. Press the 'sample' button on th MPC.
4. Get you input level set correct so it isn't overloading or isn't too quiet.
5. cue up the record
6. hit record!
7. hit stop.
8. if all else fails, look in the manual about how to sample.
