Is this will work as an external card reader

Nope. Doesnt even have SCSI plus it requires Drivers. To save you time/hassle just cop da external reader from www.scsi4samplers.com inless money is an issue.

That would be pointless, it'll still be slow, cuz its running through the floppy ports, plus floppy drives are problematic..

just break down and buy a from scsi4samplers, xmas is coming up soon too

why not go internal?
