What is the proper way to shutdown/load from/turn on MPC/CD

Should the MPC be turned on, then CDROM on, then CDROM off, then MPC off. Or is it only the "hot" connections what will ruin the SCSI fuse?

The CD ROM drive should be turned on first because the MPC has to be able to recognize the available SCSI devices. I have turned the two devices on in the opposite order and gotten it to work but it might not work, and it isn't the recommended order. I often turn off the MPC first. It should not matter which device is powered off first. There have been extremely rare reports of fuses being blown during power on and power off. I have never had that happen, so don't worry about it too much. You can get replacement fuses at any electronics store.
