Help

Hi ,

I have a MPC 2000XL-MCD,a novation supernova synth and a computer running reason, as my setup.I use the MPC as my sequencer and the others as sound engines.

I connect the MIDI OUT A from the MPC to the Supernova MIDI IN, and MPC´s MIDI OUT B to the "computer´s" MIDI IN via my soundcard wich is a MBOX2.

Everything was ok, until i started to experience some mpc crashes and note drops, when i tried to play the sound from reason or the supernova on the mpc pads.

Also, when i try to synch the reason sequencer to the mpc by midi clock the mpc also crashes.As soon i select midi clock as synch mode,(in the mpc menu) the mpc craches.

I switched midi cables, disconnected the computer from the setup but without luck.My OS version is 1.20.

Can any 1 help me please ?

Make sure that mpc is set only at 'sending' midi data and reason sequencer only for 'receiving' midi.If you have it different,that maybe that's why it crashes...check it.

Thanks for your reply.What is the menu where i put the MPC in send only mode ?Im not sure if i know what u r taking about.

What i normally do is to press SHIFT + 9 and then choose the MIDI OUT B as SYNCH OUT and MODE: MIDI CLOCK wich is connected to the soundcard and that way synch reason to midi clock.

That used to work but now it crashes as soon as i choose the mode.
Most of the time i cannot play the sounds of the supernova or from reason in the mpc pads - theres drops,glitches,notes continuously playing, changing octave - a mess

Any more ideas please ?
