Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

ok after I place my sample in the mpc and slice it into my 16 zones (just using the slices that it makes for me) what is the best method of matching the tempo to the sample?

Play your chops in the sequence the way you want them to sound, and then adjust the tempo accordingly. I usually start slow, and speed up until there aren't any noticable gaps in the sequence.
