Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Ok, I've had this machine for a while, but the problem is I'm not too sure of how to hook it and get the most effective set up going on with it.,.,.,would anyone here who owns one please share ur setup if u have one that u incorporate with your production makin?
I'm lookin to get the best and convenient set up bcause I have a proteus 2000,mpc2xl,and a korg triton, and they'r sll midi'd to each other but now I want to include the mfc 42 and b able to filter sounds from both my proteus,triton, and whatever sounds are loaded into the mpc ...oh and I have a turntable as well.,.,,.can ya'll please give me input.,.,I'm a lil weary abt settin all this up!! its new to me

You have to look at it as a general fx box. The only way to have multiple pieces of gear all route to one effect is to use a mixer with an effect send and return (or aux) so you can route channels to the effect as needed. The other way is to physically re-plug the cables as you need to use it. This can be easier with a patchbay or if your mixer has insert plugs.
